What Does It Mean To Be A Woman Today?

What does it mean to be a woman in today’s society? This is a question that I think everyone has thought about at least once. Is it better or worse than what it meant 50 years ago? For this, I think people would argue both sides of the issue. Personally, I think that things are definitely better than they were fifty years ago but what is expected out of women is different as well and may not exactly be a change for the best.

Now let’s get one thing straight, this blog in no way is a bashing towards men. That’s not my intentions at all. I think women are just as responsible for this image created as men are; in some ways maybe even more. This is more of way just for me to be able to express my opinions on issues women face in this society and hopefully allowing others to feel comfortable leaving their opinions on the matter as well. I have hopes that maybe this blog can one day become a place where women can gather together, express their opinions and maybe even vent some of their frustrations and help create a solution. So I realize that this blog is a little short. I’ll make sure to blog a little more on the topic soon. I decided that before I really put in my opinions that I’d give other people a chance to answer the question. Expect another blog on Friday, so make sure to check back! Until then...

  1. It's still really hard being a woman in today's society. We are responsible for so many hats (i.e. work, parenting, wife) that if we slip in any of these areas, we are still often looked at as the weaker sex.

We have to work extra hard in all of these areas to get ahead in my opinion.
